A Vibrant Start to 2025: SIT Alumni Networks Foster Connections and Growth Through Mind, Body, and Community
As 2025 began, the SIT Alumni Networks were in full swing—bringing alumni together through a series of events designed to nurture well-being and build lasting connections. In just the first quarter, more than 160 alumni reconnected and recharged through four diverse events, each hosted by one of SIT’s dedicated Alumni Networks: Sports, Leisure, and Career.
Scaling Heights Together

The year began on a high note—literally—with the Alumni Sports Network’s Bouldering Night on 24 January at Boulder Movement @ Downtown. 42 alumni took to the walls – some for the first time, others as seasoned climbers – spurring one another on in a lively atmosphere filled with laughter, encouragement, and a touch of friendly competition.
The event reflected the Alumni Sports Network’s goal of fostering camaraderie through physical activities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle. For many, it was a refreshing way to reconnect with fellow SITizens while breaking a sweat.
Savouring the Moment

In February, the Alumni Leisure Network brewed up something special with its Matcha Appreciation Workshop, held at Matchaya – CapitaSpring. With two fully booked sessions on 15 February and a third added by popular demand on 22 March, the event proved to be a crowd favourite among 50 attendees.
Participants were treated to a hands-on experience of the ceremonial and modern preparation of matcha, learning from tea artisans while sipping and bonding in a cosy, elegant space. The workshop captured the essence of the Alumni Leisure Network: creating culturally rich, hands-on experiences that inspire joy, curiosity, and connection.
Growing from Within and Beyond
Meanwhile, the Alumni Career Network powered up 2025 with not one, but two impactful events designed to empower alumni both professionally and personally.

The first event, Asset Progression: Growing Your Assets with the Right Portfolio, took place on 15 January at JustCo. With close to 40 attendees, the seminar offered actionable insights into real estate and investment planning, empowering alumni to make informed financial decisions.
Then on 28 March, the focus shifted inward with Building Mental Resilience for Personal Growth, held at the SIT Punggol Campus Alumni Base Station. Over 30 participants joined an intimate workshop exploring tools and mindsets to cultivate emotional well-being and resilience—essential for navigating both career paths and personal journeys.

Together, these events showcased the Alumni Career Network’s commitment to lifelong learning, holistic development, and future-ready mindsets
