A big thank you to our alumni who joined us at Alumni Career Network Event – Building Your First 100K in Net Worth, conducted in partnership with Syfe. Led by Kenny Wong, the session explored practical ways to build a strong financial foundation, from setting clear goals and understanding portfolio allocation to developing the confidence and discipline needed for long-term wealth growth.

Back by popular demand, the SIT Alumni Leisure Network brought together alumni in April for an exclusive Matcha Appreciation Workshop, where they embarked on a sensory journey through guided tasting, smelling, whisking, and hands-on learning, participants discovered the nuances between different grades of matcha and crafted their own matcha creations.
From insightful conversations to meaningful connections, it was an afternoon filled with learning, creativity, and community. 💚

The Designing Pat is a Singapore home-based business run by Yuan Teng, a SIT graduate from the Class of 2016. With a background in early childhood education, her fascination with the interactivity of children’s books and a lifelong love for arts and craft inspired her to start this little venture. Every greeting card is handmade individually, featuring unique interactive elements like rotating wheels, shaker cards, and pop-up boxes – designed to be kept long after the occasion has passed. Beyond cards, she also offers an everyday illustrated collection – from embroidered socks and stickers to keychains and tote bags – each with a punny twist.

Alumni mentoring programme serves as a great opportunity to be connected with SIT family. I served as alumni mentor during cycles 2 &3. My student mentees were from the disciplines of physiotherapy, and criminology and security respectively. My expertise is in the fields of nursing and clinical research. However, through mentoring sessions, I learnt and appreciated the intersections between our disciplines. I enjoyed interdisciplinary mentoring as it allowed me to think of care plans from the perspectives of a physiotherapist for an example. Additionally, our interdisciplinary conversations emphasized the importance of collaborations and networking to maximise impact of health outcomes and educational research.
