Cruising on a Cool Adventure

On the evening of 23 November 2023, 48 adventurous SIT alumni gathered at the 100PLUS Promenade for the Alumni Sports Network: Longboard activity. The session, designed for both newcomers to the sport and those seeking laid-back enjoyment, offered SITizens a unique opportunity to learn the art of longboarding while connecting with other fellow SIT alumni. 

The participants were guided by experienced instructors who coached them on the basics – from the nuances of different longboard types, to the essential moves and tips to ride safely – so that they can discover the joy of longboard cruising.  

Mr Jonathan Tan, from the Class of 2019, found the activity invigorating and enjoyable as he not only gained new skills, but also built camaraderie with other SITizens. “It was an exciting experience! The instructors were friendly, and the session was a fun blend of longboarding and making new friends. I hope to see more sessions like this,” he added.
