SIT Community Comes Together for SITizen Run 2026
The SITizen Run 2026 brought together the SIT community and the wider public in a hybrid run, promoting fitness, unity, and giving while supporting a meaningful cause.
The SITizen Run brought the SIT community together in a meaningful show of unity, fitness, and giving. Held as a hybrid event, it comprised a Virtual Challenge from 29 January to 9 February 2026, culminating in a Physical Run on 7 February 2026. The 2026 edition also brought together students, alumni, staff, and members of the wider community in support of a meaningful cause.
Participants collected their run packs earlier on 24 January 2026, setting the stage for weeks of anticipation and preparation. From students and alumni to staff and supporters, SITizens clocked miles not just for personal achievement, but to give back and make a positive impact.
Running for a Cause
Proceeds from the SITizen Run registration fees went towards the SIT Bursary, which provides essential support to offset students’ tuition and living expenses. Beyond registration, participants and supporters were also encouraged to contribute additional donations via giving.sg, reflecting the community’s shared commitment to uplifting fellow SITizens.
With strong participation across both the virtual and physical segments, the event saw 518 participants take part, raising over $21,000 in support of the SIT Bursary.
Celebrating Our SITizen Champions
The Physical Run on 7 February showcased impressive performances across categories, with several SITizens standing out:

Reflecting on their race-day experience and the cause they were running for, the winners shared what the SITizen Run meant to them.
As an SIT alumnus, Koh Wen Min (Class of 2024), winner of the 10KM (Female) category, shared how meaningful it was to return and give back:
“Taking part in the SITizen Run 2026 was truly meaningful, giving me a chance to give back to the community that shaped me. As an SIT alumnus, it was heartwarming to return to the new campus and support the SIT Bursary, helping fellow students pursue their goals. I hope the SIT community continues to support one another and strive for success.”
For Lim Sze Hong, winner of the 10KM (Male) category and a bursary recipient himself, the strong turnout and collective spirit made the event especially impactful:
“As a bursary recipient, it was heartwarming to see the immense support from students, alumni, and the public, knowing our participation gives back directly to the future SITizens bursary. I truly hope the SITizen Run becomes an annual tradition, as it provides an extremely meaningful way for our community to connect while supporting a great cause.”
Meanwhile, Hadi Muhsin Bin Mohamad (Class of 2019), runner-up of the 10KM (Male) category, also shared his reflections on participating in the run and contributing to the cause:
As an avid runner and SIT alumni, SITizen Run was a great opportunity to give back to deserving students through the SIT Bursary. On top of the personal best achieved through this run, I’m grateful that my participation was for a good cause.
More Than a Run
Beyond race timings and podium finishes, the SITizen Run 2026 was a reminder of what the SIT community can accomplish together — promoting healthy living while making a tangible impact on students in need. As participants crossed the finish line, they did so knowing every step taken helped pave the way for another SITizen’s educational journey.
SIT extends its heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors, partners, and volunteers for their unwavering support and commitment in making the event a success.
