Capturing the Real World, One Frame at a Time
Our SITizens headed outdoors for the April instalment of Leisure Network – learning tips and tricks on how to conquer street photography from a fellow SITizen.
Braving the hot weather on a Saturday, almost 50 SIT Alumni were out on the streets on the 15th of April 2023 for a Street Photography workshop conducted by our very own alumnus, Ms Glin Gwee from Glasgow School of Arts (GSA) Alumni Group. Ms Gwee is a professional product and portrait photographer who has clients ranging from luxury brands to local F&B chains. Apart from learning techniques to hone their photography skills during the guided photo walk, participants also learnt how to edit their photos for a creative touch.
A new enthusiast at photography, 2022 graduate Mr Riley Tan says he appreciates the opportunity for him to hone his skills with fantastic tips by the instructor. Photography was a new hobby he just picked up four months ago and he wants to gain experience and become better for his own leisure. “Such workshops are quite affordable for me, and it is a good opportunity to meet new friends and expand my social network,” Mr Tan further commented.
With a 100% satisfaction rate from our participants for this workshop, we are looking forward to seeing more returning participants for the next alumni event!
