Where SITizens come together, magic happens – our first-ever SITizen Day at Punggol Campus proved it! 💪
From intense tug-of-war battles to irresistible queues for Milo, jagua-tattoos, and games, Campus Court was buzzing with excitement! ⚡
As evening rolled in, Campus Heart came alive with a vibrant Flea Market, mouth-watering bites at the Snack Bazaar, and electrifying performances that lit up the night. From handmade crafts to funky tunes and heart-thumping beats, SITizens showed what it truly means to celebrate as one community. 💛

Alumni Industry Night – FCB SITizen Homecoming 2025
Back in July, we collaborated with the Food, Chemical and Biotechnology (FCB) cluster to welcome back FCB alumni for the first time! 🙌
There was a mini-campus tour, updates by programme leaders, and a lucky draw to end the night. It was heartwarming to see that so many alumni kept in touch with their Profs after graduation, and were excited to come back and reconnect with their alma mater💞

Meet the Mentors – Cycle 11
From one cycle to the next, our mentoring community just keeps growing. We’ve now reached Cycle 11! 🎉
This September saw a strong turnout of mentors, both new and returning, readily offering their time to share their expertise and guide students with their invaluable knowledge. Mentors and mentees got to mingle and connect with one another, finding like-minded peers from within their industry as well as neighbouring ones.
The atmosphere quickly warmed up as mentors and mentees grew comfortable, to the point where so many forgot to leave when the event concluded 😅

ABS Opening Series: Festival of Lights
In celebration of Deepavali, we held a Candle Making Workshop in the Alumni Base Station, where alumni created their very own scented candles 🕯️
Sitizens were given a diverse array of scents, colors, and accessories to play with, and were engrossed in sharing their creations with one another. It was truly a joyous night of food, fragrances, and newly forged friendships 🌟

It was incredibly insightful when my mentor Jun Liang, invited a former mentee to one of our sessions. Hearing both of their experiences firsthand was brilliant because, as Eleanor Roosevelt said, ‘Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.’ This session wasn’t just advice; it felt like I got a fast-track look into potential paths and pitfalls, which has made me think much more strategically about my own future.

I was really grateful by how my mentor Shawn, went the extra mile to support me with an assignment. He actually reserved a room at his workplace so I could properly present my ideas and talk through the challenges in that formal setting. Getting his feedback in that professional setting was invaluable – he pointed out things I hadn’t considered and suggested concrete improvements that made a real difference to the project’s direction and my confidence in it.

Alumni mentoring programme serves as a great opportunity to be connected with SIT family. I served as alumni mentor during cycles 2 &3. My student mentees were from the disciplines of physiotherapy, and criminology and security respectively. My expertise is in the fields of nursing and clinical research. However, through mentoring sessions, I learnt and appreciated the intersections between our disciplines. I enjoyed interdisciplinary mentoring as it allowed me to think of care plans from the perspectives of a physiotherapist for an example. Additionally, our interdisciplinary conversations emphasized the importance of collaborations and networking to maximise impact of health outcomes and educational research.
